Champagne Janisson-Baradon 7C

Soft texture with a racy acidity and aromas reminiscent of spring: hints of tarragon, thyme, mint, fresh rhubarb, and greengages. Tart like fresh rhubarb and greengage plum cake without sugar, with buttery pastry notes, and firm and vibrant acidity. Long finish on the green notes of thyme, mint, green apple, and vanilla. 12–15% of the seven historical grapes of Champagne. Very low dosage.

Champagne Janisson-Baradon Conges 2012

Blackberry and hints of cassis, along with subtle hints of pain d’épices and cinnamon rind on the palate. Raspberry and ripe cherry lingering through. Tense and upright on the palate, showing redcurrant and cherry along with lots of lime juice and lemon peel on the first impression, then covered by the first grilled nut notes and autumn leaf underwood. A lovely punch in the face. 100% Meunier from a single plot. Aged in 1/3 terracotta egg and 2/3 oak barrels. Dosage 2 g/l.

Champagne Janisson-Baradon Tue Boeuf 2012

Open and fruity. Lots of raspberry, sour cherry, and a subtle touch of blackberry on the palate. Upright backbone with vibrant acidity and a lovely tension. Almost unstoppable on the finish, playing its layers of lemon, lemon zest, sour cherry, and redcurrant one after another, always accompanied by vibrant acidity. Every facet is powerful and well pronounced. 100% Pinot Noir from a single plot. Aged in 1/3 terracotta egg and 2/3 oak barrels. Dosage 2 g/l.

Champagne Janisson-Baradon Toulette 2008

Powerful nose with lots of vanilla, fresh hazelnut leaf and first notes of grilled mushrooms. Elegant and classy with a strong ego, seemingly generous, creamy and overt right in the beginning, showing its creamy, nutty character with toasted, salted almonds and hints of white truffle, and then adding its upright, classic Chardonnay tension. Very long finish with salted, toasted almonds, grilled mushrooms, and white truffle notes. Vibrant yet well-integrated acidity. Classy, with a delicious bitter spot in the finish.

100% Chardonnay from a single plot. Aged in an oak founder. Dosage 2 g/l.
