CHAMPAGNE APOLLONIS | Music in the Vines & Wines

Martine and Michel Loriot live in the village of Festigny, in the Vallée de la Marne, the epicenter of Meunier land. The roots of their family estate go back to the end of the 19th century, to Léopold Loriot and his wife Palmyre. Léopold was the first grape grower to install a press in Festigny in 1903, and was also the originator of a love of music in the family, playing saxophone in the village band.

Music seems to have played a role down the generations in the Loriot family and true to this ancestral passion, Michel has always felt intensely drawn to melody and its impact on his feelings and moods, its power to affect him.
